Tips on Choosing Rods
Fishing is not only about throwing bait and waiting for the first to come and get it. There are so many techniques that we can do on fishing and one of them even done when we have not start fishing, which is choosing a rod. We cannot choose one rod for all conditions and fishes. We should adjust it with the environment and what type of fish we want to get.
When we are choosing a rod, make sure to test the rod grip. Only choose one that give a total comfort in our palm because if we don’t we will easily get tired on holding the rod. Don’t forget to consider about the length. Less than 6 foot rods are suitable for small and light fish, while more than 6 foot rods are perfect for big fish. If we should fishing in the brushy location, then short rods can be the perfect choice.
When we are choosing rods, don’t forget to check its flexibility. Make sure to choose the most flexible one. On the choosing process, pay attention to the cracking sound from the rods. Don’t choose one with loud cracking sound. If we have no experience on choosing rods and reel, it will be better if we ask for the shop assistant’s guidance.
